About us
For us, energy is a personal matter.
I'm Marc, founder of Domingo Energy. I've lived on the Costa Blanca for five years. Together with my team, I design and install modern energy systems for homes, fincas and commercial properties here.
My enthusiasm for technology goes back much further, though. What began with personal electronics projects took me through work in industry and camper conversions, eventually leading to my current specialism in modern energy systems.
It all started with a fascination for technology.
I've been exploring electrical engineering in my own time since 2006. Starting with circuits I built myself, I've worked with increasingly complex technical systems over the years.
In 2017, I completed my vocational training in Germany. I then worked as a service technician in industry and undertook further training in electrical engineering.
In 2019, I became self-employed, creating bespoke camper conversions. Of all the practical work involved, it was the electrics that fascinated me most: battery systems, inverters, solar technology and the way they work together.
Over time, I decided to specialise in exactly that. I no longer carry out complete camper conversions. My work on vehicles is now focused exclusively on electronics, while Domingo Energy concentrates on energy systems for properties.
From camper to home: familiar technology.
A self-sufficient camper and a modern home energy system are based on essentially the same technologies: photovoltaics, battery storage, inverters and intelligent controls.
The electrics in a modern camper can be exceptionally demanding. Different charging sources, several voltage levels and numerous appliances have to work reliably together in a very confined space.
That experience shaped my understanding of complex energy systems. Moving into energy systems for properties was therefore a natural progression, with additional requirements for grid connections, electrical safety, protection systems and the relevant standards and legal regulations.
My approach has remained the same: understand the technology properly and use that understanding to develop reliable systems whose components work together.
Independence, from personal experience.
My own property on the Costa Blanca has no connection to the public electricity grid. My home is therefore powered by an off-grid system with photovoltaics and battery storage, following the same basic principles we use in our customers' projects.
What I love most about it is the sense of independence.
Generating and storing my own electricity. Running the air conditioning on warm days without constantly thinking about consumption. And living day to day without depending on a connection to the public grid.
That's precisely the freedom I want to make possible for our customers through Domingo Energy.
